Intended Audience: Those with a good working knowledge of manual book-keeping who wish to learn how to use the Sage Line 50 Version 12 computerised accounts program.

Entry Requirements: Working knowledge of manual-book-keeping Open Entry

Exemptions: Exemptions are granted by modules based on previous Pitman Training Certification.

Course Details

Lesson 1 - Sage Overview, VAT Set-Up, Customer/Supplier Set-Up and Opening Balances, Backing up accounts data

Lesson 2 - Restoring data from a previous lesson, entering opening balances in the nominal ledger,
preparing and printing a trial balance

Lesson 3 - Changing the program date, checking data, stock adjustments, entering purchase invoices for products/services, error corrections, amending supplier/customer details

Lesson 4 - Creating customer invoices, printing customer invoices, checking the activity on a selected customer account, updating ledgers, customer letters, entering new product details

Lesson 5 - Entering customer and bank receipts, part payment, customer statements, customer/supplier dashboards

Lesson 6 - Processing supplier and other payments, entering petty cash payments, restoring the petty cash float, bank transfers, and payroll journals

Lesson 7 - Bank Reconciliation, Bank and day book reports, Reconciling Debtors and Creditors Control Accounts

Lesson 8 - Deleting obsolete customer and supplier records, settlement discount, credit notes,
memorises/recall supplier invoices

Lesson 9 - Payments on account, payment allocation, receipts with settlement discount, recurring
entries

Lesson 10 - VAT Returns, Journal Entries, Vat Transfer Wizard, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss and
Balance Sheet Reports
