Marketing Communications
Course Title: Marketing CommunicationsAwarding Body: The Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) Level 6
Intended Audience:
Designed for those in a retail or services sector who may have entered the workforce without qualifications and who have now gained valuable experience. It is intended to equip candidates with an understanding of the importance of selling and marketing, while training them to work in teams and to manage the customer interface.

Course Details:
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
· Be competent in the principles of marketing communications
· Have detailed knowledge of communication theory
· Be able to apply the various marketing communication tools to a work place scenario
· Have a comprehensive understanding of the role of marketing communications in achieving organisational objectives
The specific learning outcomes are grouped into 6 units.
· Unit 1 Communication concepts and theories
· Unit 2 Advertising
· Unit 3 Sales Promotions
· Unit 4 Public Relations
· Unit 5 Personal Selling
· Unit 6 Direct Marketing
Registration:
January/September each year
Duration:
10 weeks Part-time. Commencing in September and January of each year.
Assessment:
Project 100%
